Cleveland A Great Lakes Cruise Destination? Why Not?

I have recently contacted The Port of Cleveland, The Visitors Bureau and the Great Lakes Cruise Company to get all these groups to entertain the idea of making Cleveland a stop on one of their cruises. The itineraries are fantastic, but surprisingly there is not a Cleveland stop. Maybe if more advocates wrote in support [...]

Today, the Downtown Cleveland Alliance (DCA) formally announced its support for State Issue 3. The Alliance joins the Greater Cleveland Partnership in its backing of the constitutional amendment that would legalize casino gambling in Cleveland, Toledo, Cincinnati and Columbus.

Storefront Window Display Makovers

In an earlier blog, I wrote about creating better atmosphere with the empty downtown storefront scene with art. Well, currently, I would like to announce that there are several spots already finished and more in the works!

Ohio—in making use of the Galleria— downtown—as a suitable space for an iconic facility Cleveland can be proud of.
The Cleveland Aquarium people were [...]

Litter Sweeps and Our Water Resources

Our city has a serious litter issue all over the place. This is an issues for which I am also advocating change.
Plastic bottles, Styrofoam, plastic cigar tips, broken glass, and a myriad of other debris wreaks havoc on our water resources and aquatic and terrestrial wildlife–as well as negatively impacts human health and the economic [...]

This past weekend I hosted some different visitors to Cleveland - three students from Turkey.
I met Charlie, Mete, and Martin (as they go by) through their request to stay with me on CouchSurfing.Org.  For those unfamiliar with this awesome service, Couch Surfing is an international organization of individuals who like to travel, share their cultures, [...]
