Tall Ships Festival Needs 600 Volunteers

The Tall Ships are coming and your help is needed!

Yes, the Cleveland Tall Ships Festival will be held in Cleveland from July 7-11, 2010. The Festival is being organized and presented by the Rotary Club of Cleveland and the Port of Cleveland, along with several other sponsors, including Downtown Cleveland Alliance.

“To insure that everything runs smoothly and that those attending have the best time possible, some 600 enthusiastic volunteers are needed to handle a number of tasks on-site during the Festival,” said Julie West, Tall Ships Volunteer Coordinator. “We need greeters, ticket takers, ‘Ask Me’ volunteers, crowd control marshals, hospitality workers, docents, and ship liaisons,” Ms. West added.

Volunteers must be 18 years old, available to work a minimum of two shifts from July 7-12, 2010, and willing to attend a mandatory training session.
