All City Advocates love downtown, but when we’re not busy telling everyone how great Restaurant Week is or promoting cool events like the Brite Winter Festival, there are some things we all wish we could change.
Robert Carillio is passionate about the trash and litter downtown, so he has promoted programs that recycle trash cans and clean up vacant storefronts.
One of my pet peeves is all the burned out streetlights downtown. Unlike trash on the streets, the average citizen can’t chip in and fix a light by climbing a pole. So I wrote an article and shot a video about it. Hopefully this can help spur residents and visitors to be more vocal about the problem and spur our leaders to do something about it.
