I wanted to mention that I have been keeping a blog dedicated to the process of deindustrialization in Cleveland and across the region.
A former co-worker of mine and I began Rustwire to highlight some of the common problems being experienced in older, Midwest cities, as well as highlight some promising solutions.

From a post about Cleveland Public Art ...
This project has been a lot of work, but we’re starting to get some recognition. We were recently highlighted in The Chicago Reader.
Kate and I are always open to tips and contributions from other Rust Belt residents with their ears to the ground. I keep a special email address for this group at rustbeltnews@gmail.com.
You could also help by “friending” us on Facebook or becoming one of our followers on twitter.
Thanks for reading!

Rustwire is definitely a great aggregate of what is going on in the Rustbelt. It’s great to see what is going on in places other than Cleveland who might be experiencing the same problems.
